Young Meerkat achieves top award
As seven-year-old Azaleigh Rae Dry transitions from Meerkats to Cubs, she reflects fondly on her experiences and is excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead.
Azaleigh Rae Dry (7) recently earned the prestigious Meerkat Gold Star Award under the guidance of her den Scouter, Nicole Swanepoel.
Azaleigh began her Meerkat journey at Springs Central Air Scouts in October 2022, at the age of five, initially uncertain about starting a new activity.
However, after her first session with Nicole, she quickly found herself enjoying a new adventure filled with activities and challenges.
Azaleigh has embraced the programme with enthusiasm, particularly enjoying crafting and creating.
“I really enjoyed working hard to achieve my badges and learning new things,” said Azaleigh.
“I am going to miss Meerkats but I’m excited to start a new adventure with Cubs.”
