Athletes take on three ultramarathons
Athletes from the Springs Platinum Refineries Club (SPRC) recently took on three ultramarathons, which prepared them for events in June and July.
The Springs Platinum Refineries Club (SPRC) recently participated in three ultramarathons, exceeding the club’s expectations of completing them within the cut-off time.
The team attended the 50km City to City Ultra Marathon, the 50km Loskop Marathon, and the 56km Two Oceans Marathon.
Club member Sammyfish Sikhonde said these ultras prepare the athletes for the Comrades Marathon in June and the Washie 100 Miler (160km) in July, which they are looking forward to.
Sikhonde said the community is welcome to sponsor the athletes for the upcoming ultramarathons.
