Rugby club swaps its gear for golf sticks

Partly cloudy skies opened to a sunny day at the Pollack Park Golf Club as the Springs Rugby Club golf day commenced.

Sponsors and players spread out the vast course to support one of Springs’ beloved sports clubs.

Chairperson of the club, Paul Charlton, said the golf day was held to raise funds for the club and its players.

A happy Paul spoke about how the golf day was a success, surpassing his own expectations.

“I was very impressed with the community and its support. I am happy to say we met our target, which is more than what I could have hoped for.”

Paul says there are plans in the pipeline to host another golf day later in the year.

He expresses his gratitude towards the success of the day.

“The Springs Rugby Club would like to thank all the sponsors of the holes and the players who played towards making the day a success.”
