Springs officer bags employee year of the year award

Springs police officer Captain Wynand du Toit has brought honour to the Springs Police Station by securing the visible policing and operations employee of the year award.
Awarded at the annual Ekurhuleni District Excellence Awards held at the Germiston Hall on October 6, the award recognises Du Toit’s hard work in bringing criminals to book in the community.
Over the past year, Du Toit’s commitment to combating crime and pursuing justice has been evident through his consistent results.
He made over 280 arrests during 2022 and this year.
Springs SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala commended Du Toit’s recovery of stolen items and vehicles, which he says has been outstanding throughout the year.
