Rising local star to feature in commercial
Welgedacht resident Thapelo Sibande will be representing his hometown in a television commercial.
With a few entertainment gigs in line, Welgedacht resident Thapelo Sibande recently bagged a feature on a television commercial.
Thapelo, a content creator, fashion influencer and clothing brand founder, represents his community as the new face of OpenView, South Africa’s broadcast satellite television provider.
Thapelo said he was excited about his achievement and believes this opportunity will open more doors for him.
“From being a fashion lover and being passionate about fashion and self-care, I just want to learn as I grow without any pressure from the entertainment industry,” said Thapelo.

“I am hoping for more doors to open and an opportunity to collaborate with local businesses within my proximity.”
He asserts what makes him stand out is his authenticity and doing everything at his own pace, which contributes to the person he is.
Being aligned with and representing major brands made me challenge myself even further, where I needed to embody the brand’s values and help them grow.
