Athena is a small terrier mix. She is about eight years old.

These animals are awaiting adoption at the Springs SPCA, situated on the corner of Ermelo and Townsend roads in Strubenvale. Some pups grow up in the kennels of the SPCA.

Though they are safe and well cared for, it would be ideal to have them grow and thrive in homes surrounded by a loving family. If you are considering adopting a pet, ask about the ones who need a new home the most.

The SPCA has a system that offers sponsorship if anyone is unable to adopt. Residents pay a certain amount monthly for food and shelter for an animal of their choice.

The society thanked the public for the donations of dog food and blankets and urged the community to keep donating.
