Criminal trio rob woman in home
The victim was robbed of her cellphone, laptop and two TVs.
There was a house robbery in Selection Park on the afternoon of August 23.
According to Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, the Springs police spokesperson, the victim was in her cottage when she heard a noise at her door. She then looked through the window and saw three men trying to open it.
“The suspects saw her and demanded she open the door, threatening to break it if she did not,” said Tshabalala.
“She opened the door, and the armed men forced her into her bedroom, ordering her to lie down.”

The men ransacked the cottage and stole two TVs, a laptop and a cellphone.
Tshabalala said when the armed men asked the victim if any people were in the main house, she told them they were at work.
They forced their way through the main house’s back door, triggering the alarm, and fled in a grey Hyundai Tucson.
The woman sustained no injuries, and no arrests were made.
