Fatal road accident tragically claims lives of four
Four occupants of the cars, including both drivers, were declared dead at the scene after the head-on collision.
Four people were killed after two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on Monday evening on the N17 East by Tonk Meter off-ramp.
The accident happened at approximately 18:50.
According to the EMPD, a VW Polo with three female occupants collided with a BMW sedan with one male occupant.
Jaws of Life were used to extract the occupants from the entrapment.
All occupants, including the drivers of both vehicles, were declared dead on the scene.
The EMPD said the cause of the crash is still unknown and will be subject to an ongoing investigation.
