Golfers compete at Pollak Park Golf Club despite rain

The Saturday rain didn't stop the Gingers Golf Day competition from taking place.

Despite the forecast of no rain over the weekend, 11 Ginger golfers braved the bad weather on Saturday morning for their monthly Gingers Day Golf competition.

Bruce Gardener of the club praised the golfers who played well under the conditions.

March winners were as follows:
• Alan Naude took first place with 36 points on oco

• Adelle du Plessis took second place with 36 points

• Adrian Lavelle took third place with 35 points

• Longest drive: Alan Naude

• Closest to the pin: Allan Morgan

• Doubles: Adelle and Jaun du Plessis

• King of the shorts: Jaun du Plessis (oco)

Bruce applauded Alan for his excellent performance.
