Many people regard Valentine’s Day as either a particularly romantic occasion aimed toward couples or as just another occasion that seems to revolve around children seeing how many sweet treats they can devour. However, it is also a terrific holiday for getting your children engaged in fun Valentine’s Day projects.

This adorable heart-shaped craft is perfect for the month of love and takes just minutes to make.

What you need

  • Sheet of cardboard
  • Pencil
  • Thick red, pink, or white felt
  • Scissors
  • String
  • Wooden pegs

How to make it

  1. Outline a heart shape on cardboard.
  2. Cut the heart shape out.
  3. Use the heart template to cut several hearts out of a sheet of felt.
  4. Attach a peg to each heart and hang them on a piece of string.
