SA Army’s fittest soldier competition a success

"We are for the community and the community is ours." are words that echoed as the SA Army's competition went underway.

The South African Army hosted their fittest soldier competition last week.
The competition ran from September 11 with soldiers registering for the event and ended four days later with the awards ceremony.
The competition was held on the army’s engineering base in Dunnottar.

Activities such as swimming and endurance walks were part of the demonstrations held to determine the fittest among them all.
Overall winners from the various legs of the competition were selected to represent the army at the SANDF competition in November.
The competition was also in collaboration with the community of Dunnottar.
