Officers nab woman for drugs

The Springs Crime Prevention Unit was patrolling along Bushell Street when they became suspicious of the driver of a grey Kia.

A woman was arrested when she was found in possession of drugs in Selection Park on Tuesday afternoon.

“The team stopped the vehicle The driver was with two children, aged 5 and 10. The police requested to search the car,” explained Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, communications officer of Springs SAPS.

The officers noticed the woman had something in her pockets.
“Upon investigation they found she was carrying different types of small packets. She was immediately arrested and taken to Springs SAPS for detention,” he added.
The drugs have an estimated street value of about R10 000.
The station commander applauded the members for being vigilant in combating crime and bringing the perpetrators to book.
