Strubenvale CPF raises concerns about lack of service delivery

Kock said criminal activities are increasing by the day.

Chairperson of the Strubenvale CPF Johan van Staden and vice-chairperson Koos Kock have expressed disappointment about the lack of service delivery after making numerous requests to the municipality to have the grass cut.
Van Staden said he last reported the long grass in February.
“This is supposed to be attended to, yet the metro does not take care of the area by cutting the grass. This issue has been going on for a long time.
“At the moment, some of us make sure the grass is cut ourselves. We also help to prevent criminal activities,” said van Staden.

Kock said criminal activities are increasing by the day.
“There was a house break-in just recently. It is unacceptable. We need the place to be maintained,” said Kock.
The Advertiser approached ward councillor Charmaine Kock about the matter, who made it clear she is aware of the issue.
She added she has informed the Strubenvale community the grass will be cut by the Department of Parks.
“I have reported it to the department. They were delayed because of the weather, but they have reserved a date and will do the job,” she said.
