Guard robbed while on duty
The victim was doing his rounds at the closed petrol station when he was approached by a man who asked for petrol.
A security guard was robbed of his belongings while on duty at a petrol station last Thursday.
The victim was doing his rounds at the closed petrol station when he was approached by a man who asked for petrol.
“He told the man the petrol station was closed,” said Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer of Springs SAPS.
The victim claimed the man pulled out a gun and threatened him.

“A white VW Polo with two other men then drove into the petrol station.
“They dragged the security guard into the car and tied him up with an electrical cord.
“They searched him and took his cellphone and firearm,” explained Ramphora.
The robbers then drove around with him and dropped him off in an open field in Delmas.
