Three robbers ambushed two security guards at a construction site in Struisbult last Friday.
The victims allege they were on duty in one of the containers when three men appeared.
“The men had knives. They tied up the guards with shoelaces and ordered them to keep quiet,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer of the Springs SAPS.

The guards claimed they heard the adjacent container being broken into.
It is unclear what was taken from that container.
“The robbers also made off with two cellphones valued at R1 720,” he added.
