Life Healthcare confirmed that 13 patients were inadvertently injected with a saline-only solution during their vaccination visits to the Life Springs Parkland Hospital vaccination site.
In a statement released last week, Life Healthcare confirmed that 13 patients were inadvertently injected with a saline-only solution during their vaccination visits to the Life Springs Parkland Hospital vaccination site.
“Our clinical quality process ensured that we became aware of the error very soon after the incident and we immediately contacted the 13 individuals affected.
“Patient safety has not been compromised as a result but we do acknowledge the inconvenience to the affected individuals, for which we sincerely apologise,” explained Cora Muller, the hospital’s manager.
