Shopkeeper assaulted in Endicott

The four took R1 500 in cash, cigarettes, an airtime vending machine and a cellphone before fleeing in a green Toyota Tazz.

A 40-year-old shopkeeper was assaulted during a robbery at his business in Endicott, last Thursday afternoon.
The man told police he was at the shop with his wife and five-year-old son when four robbers entered the store, armed with a gun and a knife.
They forced him to open the security gate and once it was open, made him lie on the ground.

One of the robbers went to the till while the other kicked the shopkeeper.
The four took R1 500 in cash, cigarettes, an airtime vending machine and a cellphone before fleeing in a green Toyota Tazz, registration PHV834GP.
No shots were fired but the shopkeeper suspects he sustained internal injuries.
