A clerk from the Benoni Detective branch was arrested in his Wright Park home last Sunday morning.
Capt Tsosane from the crime intelligence head office was following up on information about a kidnapping case from Crystal Park when he landed up at the clerk’s home.
When Tsosane arrived at the officer’s home, he found him with two dockets, four SAPS 91(a) fingerprint forms, forensic reports and other documents.

The officer also had a date stamp and commissioner of oath stamp with him.
When asked why he had all the above with him, the clerk said he was on rotation duties, hence, he brought the documents home so he could work from home.
The goods found in his possession were booked in and the clerk is facing charges of theft of suspected state property.
