Police use Youth Day to educate citizens about GBV

The police say they want to end GBV once and for all.

As part of Youth Day, the Springs police held a march on Wednesday morning against gender-based violence (GBV) and drugs.
Hundreds of Springsites joined the police as they marched from the police station to Meat Mecca, where a presentation was held.
The police said they want to end GBV in Springs and surrounding areas once and for all.

One way they believe this is possible is to educate as many people as possible and get them involved in programmes to fight GBV.

Springsites took to the streets to inform people about GBV.

Drug use is rampant in Springs, especially among the youth, and many organisations that wish to reach out to drug users were present and encouraged people to approach them with their problems.
