Slipper Day raises funds for cancer patients

A substantial amount of money was raised and both schools were pleased that their hard work paid off.

The Winnie the Pooh Crèche and WP Junior College recently took part in the Slipper Day initiative as part of Cansa’s cander campaign.
A substantial amount of money was raised and both schools were pleased that their hard work paid off.
On Friday, the crèche and school hosted representatives from the Reach for a Dream Foundation.
Learners were given a talk on why it’s important to have dreams and ambitions and how they can help other children realise their dreams.

They were also informed about the essential work done by the Reach for a Dream Foundation.
The children were then treated to a fun day, which included activities like sack racing and musical chairs while being treated to musical performances.
Lauren Moyanga and Dorothy Dicke represented The Winnie the Pooh Crèche and WP Junior College respectively.
To demonstrate solidarity with cancer victims, pink balloons were released into the air and learners and staff members wore pink ribbons.
