Security guards tied up in late-night business robbery

The robbers were forced to flee empty handed.

A security guard was injured after he was dragged by gunmen during a robbery at a business in Largo on Sunday evening.
The victim told police he was in the guard room with his colleagues when seven men, all armed with guns, burst into the room and ordered them to lie down.
After they were on the floor, the men tied the guards’ hands and feet together, took their radios and asked about their supervisor.

They then took them to another guard room, where one of the guards’ phone rang and the men ordered him to answer it and tell whoever was on the line that everything was in order.
The phone rang again and it was the supervisor telling the guards their other supervisor was on the way.
Hearing this, the men grabbed the guard’s phone and fled.
Nothing that belongs to the company was taken, but police suspect the men wanted to take truck parts as the company stores trucks.
