Three arrested in Edelweiss in possession of stolen goods

The units involved in the arrest were Blue Hawk Tactical K9, Blue Hawk Tactical Response Unit, Mamba Security and Oos Rand 911 Zello.

Private security companies proved teamwork yields results when they worked together to arrest three men suspected of being house robbers.
Last Thursday at 2.05am, three suspicious-looking men were spotted in Edelweiss by members from the Blue Hawk Tactical Response Unit.
Seeing the response vehicle, the men fled.

The K9 Intervention Unit was then called to the scene and members continued the pursuit of the men through a yard in Butler Road, scaling razor wire and electric fencing.
The men, however, briefly got away.
Response officers continued to search the area and found a Suzuki motorbike on the pavement near the side of the road, which had been stolen from a house in Waterbok Street.

The gate as well as the garage doors had been broken.
Other members and response companies then joined in the search and they spotted a suspicious Toyota Conquest and a white Ford bakkie.
They followed the vehicles and noted the bakkie had numerous items on the back.
The vehicles drove into the nearby rural area and were stopped.

The passenger from the Conquest jumped out and fled whilst members managed to apprehend and arrest the driver of the Ford bakkie and two men in the Toyota for possession of housebreaking equipment.
They recovered one Suzuki motorbike valued at R200 000 and housebreaking equipment.
