Dump recyclable waste at mini-sites

The dumpsites are open seven days a week, including public holidays, except on Christmas day.

The City of Ekurhuleni has over 30 mini-dumpsites situated in different areas across the City to fight the scourge of illegal dumping.
Recyclable waste materials, such as garden waste, glass, paper, cardboard, metal, plastic, tyres, textiles, batteries, and electronics, can all be dumped at the mini-dumpsites.

The Department of Waste Management Services has established mini-dumpsites in residential areas for easy accessibility by residents and recyclable waste collectors.
Residents are discouraged from dumping domestic waste at mini-dumpsites as it affects the process of waste sorting for recycling purposes facilitated by the City, working with community-based recycling organisations.
The dumpsites are open seven days a week, including public holidays, except on Christmas day.
From April to September the sun sets earlier and it becomes too dark and unsafe for the public and staff due to reduced visibility.
Therefore, the operating hours for the sites have been categorised into winter/other and summer/other periods of the year.

• Cemetery Road, Geduld
