Refuse piling up in Springs
“The rubbish is piling up all over the place and people are getting fed up."
Residents in Selection Park, Lodeyko, Strubenvale and Cassledale allege their refuse have not been collected for two weeks.
According to Casseldale resident Ina Grobler, a metro employee, informed her the rubbish removal vehicle licences have not been renewed and could therefore not be deployed.

“I don’t understand how it can take them so long to take care of this issue. The rubbish is piling up and people are getting fed up. It’s unacceptable, to be honest,” said Grobler.
The City of Ekurhuleni still needs to comment.
