Police show no mercy as 72 arrested over the weekend
Over 70 people were arrested over the weekend in Ekurhuleni Zone Three, which includes the following policing precincts: Devon, Dunnottar, Duduza, Kwa-Thema, Nigel, Tsakani and Springs.

The arrests come as a result of collaboration between law-enforcement agencies.
According to Sgt Harry Manaka, communications officer at Duduza Police Station, the offenders face charges such as assault GBH, common assault, domestic violence, theft, possession of drugs and possession of suspected stolen property.

Many were arrested for contravening amended level three regulations as police continue to enforce the law to ensure compliance.
All arrested suspects are expected to appear in the relevant magistrate’s courts during the course of the week.
