A family of three received the fright of their lives when they woke up to find two suspects armed with pangas inside their house on Monday morning.
The suspects, who wore balaclavas, had forced open the front door.
Seeing the victims were awake, the suspects demanded their cellphones, which they took.
The suspects further demanded money, which the complainant indicated that they didn’t have any.
Not believing them, the suspects searched the home and found R160 in cash.
In addition to the money and cellphones, the suspects also took food from the fridge and cupboard, a bag and a small stereo, before fleeing on foot.
The complainant had a house robbery last month and believes it was the same suspects.
There were no injuries reported.
