Employees forced into storeroom during robbery at a spares shop

The victim says four suspects, two of whom had guns, entered the shop on the corner of Second Street and Sixth Avenue.

A motor spares shop was robbed by four suspects last Monday afternoon, says Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.

The victim says four suspects, two of whom had guns, entered the shop on the corner of Second Street and Sixth Avenue.

Seeing the suspects, the complainant ran to the storage room and was followed by one of the suspects who had a gun.

Once inside the storeroom, the suspect made the complainant and the complainant’s boss who was also in the store room lie down.

They were later joined by two employees who were forced in there by the other armed suspect.

After the people in the storeroom heard nothing for a while, the complainant’s boss left the room and found the suspects had fled.

The suspects took three cellphones, a laptop and R3 000 in cash.
