Wright Park CPF has much to be proud of

Baloyi says: “Crime has gone down and people feel much safer in their homes at night."

Members of the Wright Park CPF gathered in a park on Sunday afternoon.

The meeting was an opportunity to congratulate the CPF on their recent successes and to introduce a new exciting opportunity for the community.

Representatives from Rand Water attended the meeting to present their plans to empower the community.

Rand Water will be replacing the many old and dilapidated water pipes in the area.

Wright Park CPF member Arles Baloyi congratulated the patrollers on the impact they have made on the community.

Baloyi says: “Crime has gone down and people feel much safer in their homes at night.

“We were also able get the metro to remove tuck shops that were operating illegally out of shipping containers.”

Baloyi added, however, that much work still has to be done to reduce the problem of drugs, alcohol and gambling which continues to plague their community, especially the youth.
