Passion for martial arts drives Gift Walker

Walker says the intensity and violence of the sport was what attracted him to it in the firs place.

Springs mixed martial arts fighter Gift Walker (20) has big dreams for his mixed martial arts (MMA) career, which is driven by passion and love of the sport.

Walker does most of his training at House of Tinkerbell under the tutelage of JP Kruger and other coaches.

Walker first started with MMA in 2012 and his natural talent was immediately made clear when he won his first gold medal only a year later, in 2013.

Walker says the intensity and violence of the sport was what attracted him to it in the first place, but soon realised there was more to the sport than meets the eyes.
