Patrons and residents didn’t let the gloomy weather hold them back from enjoying the day’s festivities.

Judy van Zyl, Ria van der Berg, Ansie Taljaart, Mary Nkula, Meisie Dye and Linda Kruger’s stall was a dessert lover’s dream at the Rus ’n Bietjie fete.

Boerewors rolls, biltong, sweets and every dessert imaginable were on sale from the 13 stalls that had been set up.

Speaking on behalf of Rus ’n Bietjie, Hettie van Coller says the fete was a fund-raiser for their ongoing renovations.
