zaLUG fans flock to the Springs Mall for exhibition

We met a child, Nicole Coetzee, who was viewing the blocks and she says she loves lego blocks as she loves building and her mother, Tanya Coetzee, says Nicole is a very quiet child who likes sitting in the corner at home and builds blocks.

 

The Springs Mall was packed with people of all ages on Saturday as the Lego User Group South Africa (zaLUG) was showcasing their lego blocks at the Woolworths court.

Penny Du Plessis, a lego block builder says, “My partner and I are very new to this building thing.

“We’ve been at it for close to seven months.

“I find it very therapeutic and it is quite addictive.”

The zaLUG chairperson, Tony Graham says, “It’s basically a bunch of adults who have rediscovered their childhood.

“Lego is a form of art; it is not just for children.

“It keeps us home on Friday night which makes my wife very happy and is also relaxing.”
