A business in New Era was robbed late last Saturday evening.
The security guard was in the guardroom when he heard a door opening and saw a man with a firearm come inside.
The suspect then handcuffed the security guard and forced him to lie on the ground and covered him with a blanket.
After the suspect left the guardroom, the guard heard a vehicle leave the premises and went outside to call for help.

The suspects made off with two cellphones and copper cables worth R100 000.
No shots were fired during the robbery and no arrests have been made.
