Pensioner tied up during robbery in Selection Park

The suspects then gagged her with a cloth and blindfolded her and tied her hands and feet together using their shoelaces.

A pensioner was tied up with electrical cords during a house robbery in Selection Park last Tuesday afternoon.

The victim came home just after midday and noticed a man standing in her yard.

After she asked him what he was doing, the suspect responded by saying he was just looking around, when she was suddenly grabbed from behind by two suspects who threw her onto the ground.

The suspects then gagged her with a cloth and blindfolded her and tied her hands and feet together using their shoelaces.

After dragging the victim to the living room, they also tied her neck using a belt from her gown and proceeded to ransack the living room and later, the bedroom.

The victim managed to call workers across the road for help almost an hour after the suspects fled.

The victim’s car, R1 500 in cash, cellphone and bank cards were stolen.

The victim sustained injuries to her mouth and arms.
