According to the owner, two men gained entry by obtaining the house keys that were on the kitchen counter.

The kitchen window was open due to paint work and a pipe was used to reach the keys and pull them through the window.

The owner only awoke when the suspects fled the house.

He screamed at them and they threw a brick at him, missing him but hitting the couch.

The following items was missing: one 40 inch Samsung flatscreen tv, one 28 inch Telefunken flatscreen TV, one Bell cellphone and one Sony radio to the value of R11 800.

No firearms were used in the attack and no injuries were sustained.
