A 55-year-old woman was attacked while in her home in Welgedacht in the early hours of last Friday morning.

One of the men broke the window with a stone and entered the room since there were no burglar bars on the window.
The suspect threatened her with a knife and demanded money while the other suspect waited outside.
The suspects stole a TV, music system, R4 000 in cash, a passport, two blankets, two cellphones and a tablet.
One of the suspects tried to rape the woman but she fought back and overpowered him.
As a result of the fighting, she sustained a swollen eye and bruises on her neck.

The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
