New shopping centre for Springs

The long-awaited Tonk Meter Crossing Shopping Centre opened last Thursday on the corner of Tonk Meter and Rhokana roads, Selcourt Extension 20.

The long-awaited Tonk Meter Crossing Shopping Centre opened last Thursday on the corner of Tonk Meter and Rhokana roads, Selcourt Extension 20.

This adds another convenient shopping location to the skyline of Springs, offering residents of both Springs and KwaThema another shopping destination to choose from.

Lionel Kisten and Jonathan Taitz, directors of Landmark Supermarket Development Pty (Ltd), and Shadow Shabangu, the ward councillor for Ward 76, welcome the opening of Tonk Meter Crossing Shopping Centre, which they claim is “the first modern neighbourhood shopping centre which will be the catalyst to further development and local economic growth.”

This project has created many job opportunities for sub-contractors, labour, suppliers and business opportunities during the construction period from this large community.

The project has also created many permanent jobs for those working at the centre.
