This made fines sessions more jubilant after this great start to the season.

Although LMS Brannas, who managed 131 runs in their chase for five wickets in their 20 overs, put their best foot forward, Jolly posted 140 runs for four wickets in their 20 overs.

In the second game of the day, Mixers also started the new season on a high note against another new side, the Rusty Ballies.

The Mixers scored 156 runs for eight wickets in 19.1 overs.

Jaques Loots and Onik Shifur Rahman orchestrated a few good knocks scoring 51/23 and 58/38 respectively.

“It wasn’t a bad chase though by the new boys Rusty Ballies, who managed 133 runs for a loss of four wickets in their 19.4 overs.

Conradie Jean Luc of Rusty Ballies mesmerised Mixers batsmen taking four wickets from his three overs and only conceding 14 runs,” explains Owen Christiano of Last Man Stands.

All games will now be played at Olympia Park Stadium every Sunday.

“It’s action all day. Anyone can come to watch and there is no entry fee.

“We still have slots for new teams if anyone is keen to enter or register to join a team,” adds Christiano.
