The Pep store on Second Street in the Springs CBD was robbed on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police, two suspects forced their way behind the counter and took cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The store manager and another employee were locked in the office while the robbery was taking place.

The suspects fled in a Toyota Corolla.
“The store must still do a stocktaking in order to be sure how many cellphones were taken as well as the amount of money in the till.
“No shots were fired and there we no injuries,” says Springs police spokesperson Captain Johannes Ramphora.
