Kotze will be leaving for the USA at the end of November to pursue the possibilities of playing golf professionally

The Springs Country Club held their Monthly Medal competition on Saturday.

The results were not available at the time of going to press.

On Friday, reigning club champion achieved the one thing that all golfers dream about, a hole in one.

Kotze achieved the feat on hole no 15 at Springs Country Club.

What makes this more special is that he is the third generation golfer to have a hole in one on this particular hole following his grandfather Andre and father Deon (who were both playing with him on Friday).

Kotze has in fact done it twice on this hole.

The champion also shot a 7 under par 65, missing out by one shot on the course record of 64, held jointly by Kotze himself and touring professional, Ockie Strydom.

Kotze will be leaving for the USA at the end of November to pursue the possibilities of playing golf professionally.
