Artists encouraged to start preparing for the Thami Mnyele artwork entries

Its crunch time and the competition for the coveted prize is on.

The City of Ekurhuleni in collaboration with the Lizamore & Associates Mentorship Programme is calling on all artists to enter the prestigious, nationally acclaimed Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards, 31st edition.

All artworks must be ready and suitable for exhibition but the submission dates next week.

The judges will select an exhibition of the best artworks.

The artworks must have been completed in the 12 months preceding the close of entries date.

“We encourage artists who specialise in contemporary fine art to start preparing their work while there is still time before the set final submission dates.

“This is to allow everyone an opportunity to participate in the competition by submitting impressive artworks,” Member of the Mayoral Committee for Community Services Cllr Dora Mlambo says.
