Dance group rakes in the wins
Dance Directions Dance Studio from Petersfield competed in the South African Dance Foundation (SADF) competition on June 16.
Ayden Janse van Rensburg (15) received first place for a duet with Zander Botha (15) in hip-hop.
He also received third place in jazz showcase, first place in solo jazz rounds, first place in hip-hop rounds and first place in hip-hop solo showcase.
Dawsyn Janse van Rensburg (8) received first place for a duet with Kara Steyn (7) in contemporary showcase as well as first place for a duet with Kara in jazz showcase, second place in solo contemporary rounds and second place in hip-hop solo.

Dominique Duvenhage (9) placed first in a duet with Hope Baliey (8) in hip-hop as well as first in hip-hop group.
Hope also won first place in hip-hop group, fourth place in contemporary solo, fourth place in hip-hop solo and second place in bhangra solo.
On top of her two other wins, Kara also won first place with her and Tihanna Mendonca’s (7) duet in contemporary rounds, second place in jazz solo showcase, first place in jazz solo, first place in contemporary solo, first place in disco solo and first place in bhangra solo.

Tihanna also came in second place in jazz solo and second place in bhangra solo.
Melandri Coetzer (12) placed third with her duet with Wilandri Combrinck (15) in contemporary.
Wilandri also placed fourth in contemporary solo.
Chrishè de Lange (11) won first place in the hip-hop group.
Winning their duet in hip-hop was Liam Ludick (9) and Dean Castelyn (6).
