DVD review: Snatched

While Snatched is a fun watch for a lazy summer day, it isn't quite as funny as either the trailer or description on the DVD might suggest.

Dumped by her boyfriend on the eve of their vacation to Equidor, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton persuades her cautious mother, Linda, to accompany her on an exotic getaway to South America. Although the pair are polar opposites, Emily and Linda must soon work through their differences to escape from a wildly outrageous and dangerous jungle adventure.

Ensconced in a luxury hotel, Linda is happy to simply enjoy her novella and the services of the hotel while Emily wants her mother to join her on more adventurous activities.

The two soon find themselves kidnapped and taken to Columbia by thigs.

After escaping and killing at least two people, the pair is able to make it to safety with the help of an odd pair of women they met on the first day of their holiday while sunning themselves at the hotel pool.

While Snatched is a fun watch for a lazy summer day, it isn’t quite as funny as either the trailer or description on the DVD might suggest.
