Springs Rotary Club received a donation from the members of the Springs Striders Athletic Club at their charity run on Sunday.
The event was held at Stable Inn in Strubenvale.
The club decided to donate clothes to the Rotarians, who in turn donated these to Ina MacDonald from Operation Snowdrop.
Rotary Club president Siobheanne Landsberg says Ina’s project has an immediate need for the clothing.
“We have passed on the groceries to The Potters Haven and will be passing on the cash we received to the haven too for their prepaid electricity,” says Landsberg.
The Rotarians thanked the Striders for always donating so generously and helping them to make a difference in the Springs community.
“Without their support we, and organisations like us, couldn’t do what we do,” says Landsberg.
