Armed suspect drove off in hijacked Audi A4.

A woman’s silver Audi A4 was hijacked when she went to fetch her mother in Roxburg Street, Selection Park on Thursday.

At 8.10pm she got back into the Audi and as she was about to start her vehicle, she noticed an unknown man pointing a firearm at them.

According to Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora the armed suspect went to the passenger side and demanded their handbags and the car keys.

“The woman informed the man she had left her handbag in the house and the keys were already in the ignition,” says Ramphora.

He allegedly dragged the woman’s mother out of the car and after she got out of the vehicle, the man got into the vehicle and drove off.

The vehicle is estimated to be valued at R250 000.
