Parents were helping their children with their homework in Gull Street, Struisbult, when their front door was kicked open by three suspects on Tuesday.
The children, aged seven and 12 years, and their parents were ordered not to look at the suspects.
Two of the suspects were armed with pistols and demanded cash, bank cards and their PIN numbers.
According to Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora, the suspects covered the family with blankets and ordered them not to look up.
After a while, the seven-year-old daughter informed her parents the suspects had left the scene.
The suspects fled in the family’s Hyundai i20.
“They loaded three TVs and a PlayStation into the vehicle and drove off,” says Ramphora.
Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
