Domestic worker hides from robbers during house robbery in Selcourt

Robbers force open the front door to gain entry to the house.

A domestic worker was hiding from suspects while they robbed the house in Waiha Street, Selcourt on Thursday.

She noticed one armed suspect on the property at 7pm and ran inside the house to hide from him.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, SAPS spokesperson, says the worker remained hidden until she realised it was quiet in the house.

She noticed three suspects who forced open the front door to gain entry into the house.

“They took electrical appliances and clothes and fled the scene in a white VW Golf 7,” he says.

Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
