Vox pop: what Springs thinks

See what readers have to say in our weekly vox pop.

The Addie asked readers: “Should Grace Mugabe receive special treatment after allegedly assaulting a woman in a South African  hotel?”

Thembi Zulu: “She has to be arrested but, unfortunately, those without power and money will always be vulnerable and unprotected. In this case the victim will not find justice.”
Mohammed Fiaz: “No one is above the law and the law should ensure that Grace Mugabe is not given special treatment and that she faces the charges against her.”
Joseph Mahlangu: “From the first instance she wasn’t supposed to have left the country, she has to be treated as a suspect because what she has done is the same as any other person who has committed a crime.”
Busi Xaba: “No special treatment should be given to her because we are all equal and no one is more equal than the other. Grace should not come to our country and think that she will get away with what she has done.”
Tracey Nienaber: “President’s wife or not, she should be arrested and let justice run its course. She should face the consequences of her actions.”
Themba Gininda: “Grace Mugabe is not entitled to diplomatic immunity and she must be arrested. No one is better than the other. She should be arrested and have her day in court to answer these allegations.”
