Metro plans power outages
Due to urgent Eskom maintenance work, the metro is planning to switch off the power supply tonight (Thursday) from 10pm until 2am on Friday.
Selcourt, Selection Park South, Edelweiss, Daggafontein and Nuffield Extension Three and Four will be affected.
“Work to restore power will be undertaken in the affected area.

“However, no guarantee can be given that this deadline will be met,” says Themba Gadebe, metro spokesman.
Work will continue until the urgent maintenance work has been completed.
All electrical networks and equipment shall be regarded as being electrically alive at all times while the maintenance is performed.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” says Gadebe.
