New supermarket in store for Avenues
Some members of the Springs community are upset to learn that a supermarket in The Avenues Shopping Centre has closed down.
It is believed the supermarket will relocate to the new Springs Mall, which will open on March 16.
Botlhale Galane from Growthpoint says while they cannot comment on behalf of the supermarket, they are currently in negotiations with a new food anchor.

Once they have finalised an agreement, Growthpoint will share the news with the community on which new supermarket will take the place of the one that has closed down.

“We believe that Springs is a dynamic and diverse community with many consumer markets and we are confident that The Avenues and Palm Springs will always be able to offer a valuable shopping experience for the CBD market,” says Galane.
