The KwaThema mother is being accused of allegedly feeding her two children, aged four years and 10 months, rat poison mixed with yoghurt, before poisoning herself, at her home in KwaThema on September 1.

The three of them were taken to a nearby hospital, but the woman’s 10-month-old baby died en route.

The woman’s R2 000 bail was extended.
